Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year in spite of the fact that I had a nasty cold all week. Ky took a couple of days of to stay home with Hannah while she was out of school and they had a lot of fun. We went to Mimi and Papa's (Ky's parents) Christmas Eve and had a lot of fun. Addy is so cute and we all enjoyed watching her play and smile and just be cute! That evening Hannah sang with the Children's choir at our church's Christmas Eve service. They all looked so cute and sang great! Mimi even let Hannah hold her candle at the end of the service. I thought we might be getting a new sanctuary sooner than planned at that point, but she did a great job of holding it still and not catching anything on fire. Hannah was up at about 5 Christmas morning oohing and aahing in the living room at everything Santa brought. She came to wake us up saying, "Santa clause came! He really came!" I think some of her friends at school had her doubting his existence but she was very much impressed with everything he brought. She got the American Girl doll she had wanted, pink footed pajamas, and pink earmuffs. He brought more than that, but those were really the only things she asked for. All the family came over for brunch and she got to show off all of her stuff. It is really a blessing to have almost all of our family close by. We are truly blessed and had a very blessed Christmas!
